Old World Wedding at Laurel Court in Cincinnati, Ohio Seen in Magnolia Rouge

When we first envisioned this shoot we wanted to feel reminiscent of old world style and details. Set in the expansive gardens of the Beaux-arts style historic Laurel Court in Cincinnati, Ohio. We worked with an unconventional color palette of browns, blacks, and mustard tones. Pulling inspiration from the house that is decorated with ornate railings, gilded ceilings, limestone columns and walls paneled in African mahogany. Natural textures of linen napkins and handmade paper invitations pay homage to the original owner's paper company. We really wanted to be evocative of the old world craftsmanship with hand-painted plates, gas lamps and brass candlestick holders. Bringing a modern touch to it with stemless wine glasses and gold flatware. This shoot is an example of how a space and concept can be the seed of inspiration to create a full event design concept around.

Even Floral Co. created a warm and spirited bouquet mixing fresh and dried blooms. for the bride who wore a Claire Pettibone gown with blowy lace sleeve. Our groom wore a custom fit tux from Folchi’s with a bolo tie to complete the look. The table was set with a collection of vintage plates with a floral motif in amber ink. Each place setting was set with a natural linen napkin, a menu, and place card. Atop the table was a loosely draped runner with a beautiful arrangement and small vessels filled with figs and nuts for snacking. For desserts guest were given a personal sized fig and pear gallette from Canteen Bakery. What do you think? Would you join us for dinner?
