-      Don’t mind working nights and weekends. Most events are Friday and Saturday with preparations Wednesday to Friday.

-      Enjoy working hard or getting dirty, some physical labor required to move set up boxes and load and unload 

-      Calm and professional in the face of challenges

-      Willingness to learn to skills and adapt to new environments.

-      Enjoy working with your hands and getting creative.

-      Previous event experience is a plus but not required

-      Own mode of transportation

-      Willingness to travel our events are mostly in the Midwest and occasionally further (we’ve been to 10 state)

We are hiring an Event Producers!

Come join House of Joy, working on creative events. We want to see what you’ve got! If you are creative, kind and a team player we would love to hear from you. House of Joy is a boutique event design and planning firm that works on weddings, corporate and social events. This role is an invaluable experience to get hands-on experience in the event industry. The position is paid and part-time on mostly weekends based on our event schedule. We usually have 10-15 events a year and require you to be available for 50-60% of the events. An Event Producer will assist the Lead or Associate planner on-site at events. Events are typically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This is not a full-time position.


We are hiring a Production Assistant!

Come join House of Joy, working on creative events. We want to see what you’ve got! If you are creative, kind and a team player we would love to hear from you. House of Joy is a boutique event design and planning firm that works on weddings, corporate and social events.

We are looking for Production help. Hours vary by event and needs but typically are a few hours at events in the afternoon to early evening and end of the night. Production Hands usually help our team set chairs, move tables, load, unload, and assist with large installations. The position is paid and part-time based on our event schedule. It’s a great way to make a little extra money.

-      Enjoy working hard or getting dirty, physical labor is a must setting up and tearing down

-      Reliable and on-time

A few requirements for the position.    

-      18 years of age or older

-      Own mode of transportation

-      Carry at least 40 lbs.
