My Citrus Themed Baby Shower | Studio 42 | Dayton Ohio
One of my favorite things about my job in the event planning industry is the vendors I get to work alongside. It isn’t lost on me that I have a job where colleagues have become dear friends. And I am so grateful for the beautiful citrus themed baby shower my friends Chelsea Hall, Briana Synder, and Megan Gorman threw for me at Studio 42 in downtown Dayton, Ohio.
I absolutely loved the decor my friends chose. It was vibrant and low key. Studio 42 has such great natural light and they went with a look that really played that up. They got creative with the centerpieces using all types of fruit for a fun and fresh look. Flowers are great but they aren’t the only option. Don’t be afraid to experiment a bit with design!
To create this look, they layered fresh and dried fruit, a touch of greenery, and white tealights. It was such a great reminder that good design doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. They used what they had available and created an amazing and unique look.
They also made sure to incorporate some of my favorite foods, like soft pretzels. And I knew I could count on a group of photographers for great pictures. They created a beautiful backdrop and I was able to capture a special moment with each of my guests. That is such a great tip if you are throwing a baby shower, make sure to get pictures! The new parents will want to remember the moment you celebrated their child!
When you live far away from your family, your friends become a vital support system. While my husband and I are fortunate to have family that live within driving distance, they can’t just spontaneously pop over for a few hours to babysit or bring a meal. But when I look back at these baby shower pictures, I see the tribe that will be there to fill in the gaps. Plus, many of these ladies have balanced growing their business while growing their families and I’m so thankful to have their wisdom and support!
We are so excited to announce that Samantha and Brian welcomed a baby girl, Eleanor, on April 10, 2020. Mom, dad, pup Milo, and Eleanor are doing well and adjusting to life and as a family of 4!
I can’t thank these three enough for throwing me a baby shower. Love you women!!
