Weather on a wedding day is always a wildcard. Which is why we are always come prepared with a backup plan. But every once in a while you luck out and get a miracle. That is exactly what happened at Meghna and Sethu’s outdoor ceremony at Greenacres Art Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. We were literally surrounded by rain on the radar but not a single drop ever fell on this beautiful, traditional Indian ceremony. The clouds split right around us.

During an Indian wedding ceremony, customs and traditions vary greatly depending on where the families are from. But you can always count on them to be rich with tradition and closely involve the families on both sides. Meghna and Sethu’s ceremony was no exception. Dressed in a pale pink saree, Meghna remained hidden while Sethu and his family got things started with the Baraat.

During the Baraat, the groom is led into the venue by his family with music, dancing, and signing. They are greeted at the entrance by the bride’s family and then welcomed in. It is such a beautiful picture of the families joining together and a great reminder of what weddings are all about.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed the beautiful grounds at Greenacres while snacking on Graeter's Ice Cream (an Ohio favorite). Then they headed to the Hilton Netherlands Plaza in downtown Cincinnati for the reception.

Meghna made a quick change into the beautiful blue saree for the reception that was perfectly complemented by Sethu’s navy suit. The reception was full of amazing food, laughter, and some serious dancing. Meghna and Sethu prepared such a fun choreographed first dance and they pulled it off perfectly.

From the moment you meet Sethu and Meghna and you can see their love for each other and their love for family. Their wedding was a direct reflection of that. Filled with loved ones from near and far, it was such a special celebration of this couple.
