Inspired by nature, Bre and Dan wanted to keep the feel of their wedding relaxed and simple. Bre loves lavender and sage so we incorporated shades of light purple, pink, and dusty green in her invitations, bouquets, and linens. Bre and Dan’s ceremony was set under a white wooden canopy in the gardens at the Estates at Sunset Farms. Fortunately, the weather was perfect for their outdoor wedding, a rare day this spring in Ohio, where we had the largest rainfall in history. I loved that the existing pathway had a nice sweeping curve to it to give the ceremony some personality.

Bre wanted her flowers to give the feel of “being picked out of a field” and remind her of Maine where she grew up. We partnered with Evergreen Floral Co. for her wedding flowers. The EFC team created a ceremony installation with 2 statement designs to bring a bit of color and softness to the white ceremony pergola. After the ceremony, guests were invited to continue along the pathway for cocktails on the back veranda of the Estate at Sunset Farms around the fountain. Just inside for dinner, we kept the centerpieces low to carry the soft garden feel into the house for dinner. As guests dance they were surrounded with flowers as overhead hung a loose installation of greens and flowers. As well as having the fireplace draped with greens and flowers. Evergreen Flower Co. used a variety of ranunculus, pieris, bearded iris, clematis, cosmos, delphinium, lilac, more to bring the garden feel to the Estate.

It is important to us as well as Bre and Dan that their guests were engaged and felt part of the day. We designed a seating display for guests to find their seat. We potted mini succulents in keepsake pots for each guest. In each pot was a plant tag we made with their name and table on them. The guests were able to find their seat at the dinner table and the succulents added to the overall table decor.
