Kelly and Davis’ Miami Merger Engagement Session

With so much in flux because of the COVID-19, our team has been scrambling to reschedule a number of our spring events. But we are still optimistic we will be celebrating Kelly and Davis’ June wedding as planned.

Kelly and Davis met their sophomore year at Miami University. Introduced by mutual friends one evening at a local bar, they fell in love and officially joined the storied tradition of the Miami Mergers.

Miami Merger is the nickname given to Miami University students who fall in love. As their Alumni website notes, "When two hearts beat as one and both attended Miami, it's a Miami Merger." Kelly and Davis are honored to join the Miami Merger ranks and to pay tribute, did their engagement pictures on campus at Miami University.

They, of course, had to snap a few pics under the Upham Arch. Tradition says that if you kiss your love under the lighted lantern at midnight, you will be together forever.

I love that Kelly and Davis incorporated so many fun traditions into their engagement photos. Taking pictures at a place that is special to you and your finance is a great way to make your engagement session fun and memorable. Maybe it is your favorite coffee shop or the park where you go engaged, pick a location that means something to you and is a part of your story! It will make your engagement picture even more meaningful to you.

I also loved that Kelly and Davis incorporated a couple of outfits into their shoot. Don’t be afraid to add a quick outfit change during your engagement session. They chose one outfit that was casual and one more formal. It created variety in their shots and showcased different aspects of their style.

Kelly and Davis’ wedding date is coming up quick and I can’t wait for their big day. If their engagement pictures are any indication, we are going to get some amazing stuff. This Miami Merger is super photogenic.
